Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By creating an account or using BreedTracker ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

BreedTracker is a web-based breeding program management tool designed for dog breeders. The Service provides features including:

  • Dog profiles and pedigree management
  • Heat cycle tracking and predictions
  • Progesterone test recording
  • Breeding and litter management
  • Puppy weight tracking and growth charts
  • Health record and veterinary visit logging
  • Customer and waitlist management
  • Invoice creation and record keeping

BreedTracker is a record-keeping and management tool. The Service does not process payments between breeders and buyers. Any financial transactions between you and your customers occur outside of the Service.

3. Account Registration & Security

To use the Service, you must register with a valid email address and password. Each account is associated with a single organization (kennel). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. BreedTracker is not liable for any loss arising from unauthorized access to your account.

4. Subscription Plans & Billing

BreedTracker offers the following plans:

  • Free Plan: Limited to 4 litters per year with access to core features.
  • Pro Plan: $14.95 per month or $149.95 per year, with unlimited litters and full access to all features.

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. Pro subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal accessible from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused time within a billing period.

We will provide at least 30 days' notice before any changes to subscription pricing take effect.

5. User Content & Data Ownership

You retain full ownership of all data you enter into BreedTracker, including dog profiles, health records, litter data, customer information, and photos. By using the Service, you grant BreedTracker a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of operating the Service.

You may export your data at any time using the PDF and CSV export features available within the application. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and for any third-party personal information (such as customer contact details) that you store in the Service.

Photos uploaded to the Service are stored in private, access-controlled storage. Only authenticated members of your organization can view your photos.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or system resources
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

You are responsible for complying with all applicable local, state, and federal breeding regulations in your jurisdiction.

7. Intellectual Property

The BreedTracker platform, including its software, design, logos, and documentation, is the property of BreedTracker and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. Your content remains yours; the platform and its features remain ours.

8. Veterinary Disclaimer

BreedTracker is a record-keeping and management tool. It does not provide veterinary advice, medical diagnoses, or treatment recommendations. Features such as heat cycle predictions, progesterone trend tracking, and whelping date estimates are based on general breeding guidelines and the data you provide. These predictions are not guaranteed to be accurate.

Always consult a qualified veterinarian for medical decisions regarding your animals. BreedTracker is not a substitute for professional veterinary care.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. BreedTracker does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

In no event shall BreedTracker be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of breeding records. Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to BreedTracker in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. BreedTracker may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with notice where practicable.

Upon termination, your data will be retained in accordance with our data retention policy as described in our Privacy Policy. You may request data export or deletion by contacting support.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days' notice via email or in-app notification before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. You consent to the jurisdiction of the courts in the state where BreedTracker operates for any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service.
